In any event we encourage you to use a licensed, insured home boarder to care for your pets. By law, everyone caring for animals in their home and receiving remuneration for it must be licensed by Leeds City Council. You can, and should, ask for a copy of their license as evidence of this. If someone is not licensed they will not be insured, which could have serious consequences if anything were to happen to an animal whilst in their care.
